Mixed Materials – Texture is big in 2025. Adding texture to walls, floors and everything in between is popular, whether for sensory stimulation or simply to add an intriguing element to a small space. Textured tile and stone gets the job done and can be very budget friendly!
Bold Colors – Plums, deep greens and other rich colors abound in modern interior design. These bolder colors provide a balance to other popular colors, like earthy neutrals. These bold colors can be found on walls, textured rugs or accent pieces.
Dusty French Blue – Blue has been trending for some time, but we’re still a big fan and there is no shortage of fun and appealing patterns.
Home Wellness Spaces – Wellness has become a hot topic, not just in the workplace but also in the home. Many homeowners are ditching the man cave and opting for restful, peaceful wellness spaces that the whole family can utilize.
Textured or painted ceilings – Wallpaper, paint and trim; anything goes on a ceiling these days. Consider the ceiling as just one more canvas that can be used to add personality to your space, not matter what the size.

Fear of missing out is a real thing people. Whether we want to admit it or not, its hard to stomach when your friend next door pulls off a phenomenal redesign of their living room using the most recent interior design trends. With that in mind, here are a few trends to consider when doing a remodel or room reno:
Color: We’re calling it – blue and yellow is going to be the next big color combo. Not only do they have complementary color harmony, but they evoke correlating emotions. Yellow is vibrant and cheerful while blue represents creativity and serenity.
Think outside of the box: Hardwoods in a bathroom. Stone in a bedroom. Modern day design calls for unique design elements in pattern, texture and materials. Maybe a nice checkered design in marble? Think about it.
Everyone hangs out in the kitchen: According to a recent survey by Pollfish, next to the living room the kitchen is the room of the home most considered for a flooring remodel. Modern day kitchen flooring has evolved. Consider playful options like a patterned hardwood or stylish tile design. Don’t hesitate to play with shapes or even materials like cork, epoxy, bamboo and concrete.
Focus on the niches: One fun trend is a focus on the less obvious areas of the home for pops of design: hallways, laundry rooms or the pantry. These normally smaller spaces can further accentuate design features and often are less costly to update.
